When I got the offer to do a Star Trek themed build, I jumped at the chance. I was specifically asked to do something related to Captain Kirk of the Enterprise in particular. I decide to bring attention to his extra cool uniform colors of Command Gold with the black color accent.  Also, You know I had to include the uniform insignia too.

I spent a lot of time hunting down a color as close as I could get to that command gold.  Keep in mind that I’m working with water base finish. I did manage to find a close match, but I had to add a bit more black to the formula.  Also to round things out, I had my custom aluminum hardware powder coated in black.  See if you can find some of the other little details I included. Only a true trekkie would know!
