OMI JAZZ
The Omi Jazz is the result of an idea shared by Scott R. , The Late Les Moore and myself.
The Omi Jazz Is a very cool super chamber slab style electric. It appears to be a solid body, but is actually super chambered. (85% hollow) It was designed to have a more open and warmer sound than a solid body. suitable for straight head jazz as well as straight up blues.
The Omi Jazz finds a great balance between loud more aggressive picked music and mellow fingerstyle. It does not try to be a fully solid body nor completely a hollow body. But trust, You can definitely leave the matinee jazz set and head over to the after-hours blues session without missing a beat. No need to change guitars, You’er covered!
Neck and body are akin to a solid body, but that’s where it ends. The floating neck position pickguard mounted pickup, hand carved rear mounted tailpiece and a movable floating bridge are more reminiscent of a fully hollow jazz arch top guitar. The Omi has nicely hidden volume and tone control thumbwheels mounted on the side of the pickguard. This keeps them safely away in those moments when you are digging in and could accidentally bumped the controls. Set it and forget it!
